Do you wish your thighs were firmer and more proportionate
with the rest of your body? Do you exercise, but
your thighs don't change? If so, a thigh lift may be right for you.
What is a Thigh Lift?
A thigh lift reshapes your thighs by reducing excess skin, and in some cases fat. It results in smoother skin and better-proportioned contours of the thighs and lower body. Sometimes, a thigh lift is done in conjunction with liposuction if you have excess fat deposits.
Thigh Lift Procedure
Your surgeon will give you certain preoperative care instructions. While we have included some on our website, they should not be a substitute for your physician's instructions.
A consultation with one of the physicians at the Plastic Surgery Center is your essential first step to learn how a thigh lift can improve the appearance of your thighs. If you're ready to schedule your complimentary cosmetic consultation* and discuss your thigh lift in more detail, call us at 316.688.7500 or request your consultation online today.
What to Expect
Your surgery may be performed in our accredited ambulatory surgical suite or a hospital. The method of anesthesia will be based on requirements of your specific procedure and considerations of your preference as well as your surgeon's. At the Plastic Surgery Center, your safety and comfort are very important.
Thigh Lift Recovery Time and Expectations
You may have some swelling and bruising. Your physician will provide you with more specific post op instructions. We have included some basic instructions on our website, but they should not be a substitute for your physician's specific guidelines.
After the Thigh Lift
Your smoother, tighter thighs are apparent almost immediately, although it may take several months for the swelling to completely resolve. Following a thigh lift, you will see a dramatic improvement in your skin quality both in appearance and feel. You will have some visible, but discretely located scars. The overall results are long lasting, as long as you maintain a stable weight and general fitness. As your body ages, it is natural to lose some firmness. However, most of your initial improvement should be relatively permanent.
*Some restrictions may apply on the complimentary consultation. Does not apply to insurance funded surgeries.
