What to Expect

Your surgery will be performed in our accredited ambulatory surgical suite. The method of anesthesia used is based on the patient and surgeon's preference, usually a sedation anesthesia is appropriate. At the Plastic Surgery Center, your safety and comfort are very important.

Chin Augmentation Recovery Time and Expectations

During the healing process, you can expect some swelling, numbness and discomfort that can be controlled with medication. Your physician will provide you with more specific post op instructions. We have included some basic instructions on our website, but they should not be a substitute for your physician's specific guidelines.

It may take several days for your initial wound healing. You can then return to work and normal activity. You may also wear makeup to camouflage any bruising. Your healing will continue for several weeks. It is very important to use sun protection and to follow your surgeon's instructions.
